What's the difference between rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover?

  1. Dd says:

The base solvent in nail polish remover is usually acetone or ethyl acetate. Rubbing alcohol is prepared from a different chemical. in other words the nail polish may damage the computer processor simply because it was not meant to be used on stuff like a processor. it may or may not cause any damage depending on how much he used

  2. Carrie Liu says:

    They smell the same

  3. marqueen71 says:

One is ACETONE; the other is ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL

Find a chemistry textbook and look up the formula for each. Two very different chemicals.

IF you were baking cookies and the recipe said SUGAR, would you use SALT instead?
